06/13/26 Pine Torch Church 30/46/71 Mile Gravel Ride, Bankhead National Forest

Rolling at 9am from Brushy Lake Recreation Area in Danville, AL. The parking lot requires cash, they have an envelope holder and repository at the entrance to the lot, bring $5 cash to park.

I put these routes together four years ago, and don’t think I’ve ridden them. They are based off of a reverse Bridge over Troublesome Creek, so most of the roads have been ridden this year. All routes have a good climb to start, a long flat section, and then more climbing on the way back out. I’m not selling it well but it sure is pretty out there.

All routes share the first 16 miles until the 30 splits off after a stop at Warrior Mountain Trading Post. At mile 23 the 71 and the 46 splits at the water stop at Owen Chapel Baptist Church in Youngtown.  Youngtown is the last stop for the 46. The 71 has two more spigots at 27 and 36, which is the last stop, so fill up at Beulah Church, spigot in back of aluminum bldg.

Bring what you need. Bring friends. This is a self-supported ride. All are welcome so long as you are comfortable with the miles.
