The Assault at Sunset Hill kicked my butt, or I did when I washed out on a patch of pine straw at that tight gulley switchback almost four miles into my second lap. I never heard the traffic behind me and instantly Josh’s bike was behind a branch on the left side of the trail and Tony and a fast group came rolling through. I got out of the way and yelled go!
I took a bump and slightly bent my derailleur (@bobs) dropping to the ground in that turn. After that I took what I had and had a great time riding down those amazing flowy sections for a total of four laps. It was great racing with so many friends from all over.
Mega thanks to NEABA, Chase, Wes and a ton of other folks that made today awesome. It was great seeing so many friends having a great time racing!
