Seven of us rode the Chiltauga 55 today. The fog was heavy on the way to the ride, but by the time we got rolling, it had burnt off and was getting clear with few clouds. It did end up around 92 by the end, and was super humid. I had thought we might get a shower around 11:30, but we got to where it rained after it had.
The dirt was primo, still moist from recent rain making it fast and tacky. We stopped at Pletcher Church at mile 25 for water and had fun goofing around for a photo op. Arr.
This was a nice tour de horses as well. I got a few to come to the fence, got to pet one, but couldn’t get them to eat margarita cliff blocks or fig newtons. I had a great time with everyone that showed up, thanks for coming. Lotta tough work out there today, in some of the best places around.
