08/24/24 Peach West

Peach West Relocated Chicken got rode today by an amazing group of folks. We enjoyed awesome weather, great scenery and made new friends. I rode the long course with about sixteen other strong riders. There was some banter among three of us about doing the 97, but we had a great group to ride with for the 63. We may need to revisit the 97 in October.

This is a great route, when someone plants water at Isabella HS. Or, you can get a water key on amazon, the spigots in the alcove need the large square socket. I think I might mix this one up a little soon to pick up water somewhere else. We found a new church spigot at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church where we turn onto 227, that might work.

The route may also be renamed for the black heifer that crossed the road in front of the group right as I was sprinting ahead to take pics. We already have an Isabella Red Heifer route. I didn’t see him hiding in the shade under a tree because I was looking backwards taking glamour shots. I passed within two feet of him, and he ran across the road between me and the front of the group.

Strong work today everybody!
