Rolling at 9am from Brushy Lake Recreation Area, Co Rd 71, Danville.
I think that this will always be one of the best routes I ever put together. The first half of the ride climbs along a ridge that, once you get to the top, you can see a large low plateau off in the distance to the North. We come down from the climb and stop at Beulah Church at mile 30 for a water stop. After the stop, we will turn right and enter that plateau we saw earlier and will be able to see the ridge we climbed off to our right. We have a great store stop at Warrior Mountain Trading Post in Moulton at mi 50. This is the most beautiful area to ride gravel that I have ever been to.
Weather: As of Wednesday 3/11, it looks like it’s going to be a perfect weather day! 57 degrees at the start ending at 73 around 2pm. Clear skies, no rain, light wind with some gusts up to 15mph in the later half of the day.
Bring what you need. Bring Friends. This is a self-supported ride. All are welcome so long as you are comfortable with the miles.
