Saturday before Easter we will be doing a long mixed surface ride from the Oldfield Green Gable and Sylaward Trail to Cheaha State Park and back. The route will include 3-4 miles of Sylaward Trail, lots of gravel road, all 24 miles of the Skyway to Adams Gap and about 28 miles of paved roads. 101 miles with about 9500 feet of elevation gain. Most people will be on mountain bikes though it is rideable on a gravel bike with big tires (700×47 plus). We will hit the Cheaha SP store at 49 miles and there are water pipes at 32 and 80 miles. We plan to roll at 8 am and finish between 5 and 7 pm. Bring something to share and we will have a pot luck dinner after at the OGG. No entry fee but bring some cash for the post ride food.
